Product description

A small hand held gadget that removes bobbles from sweaters, hats, gloves etc.

Pros

Simple to operate

The Bobble-Off is very simple to use. Once batteries are inserted (2x AA batteries not included with purchase) and turn it on.

Length fibre range

The Bobble –off has length fibre range too which you can change from long to short by twisting the dial in front. This feature adds extra safety when dealing with delicate fabrics or if you just want a light clean

Safe

It is safe to use as the blades are guarded with a metal guard so there is no direct contact with the full fabric unlike trying to get the bobbles off with a pair of scissors.

Power efficient

It is pretty power efficient. A fully charged set of batteries could take the bobbles off a medium sized sweater. This however depends on how bad the bobbles are.

Collection chamber

It has a small collection chamber where the bobbles are stored. Like a mini vacuum cleaner, you then empty the bobbles when done.

-Quick and easy way to clean up as the chamber comes off with little effort.

Recharging batteries.

The Bobble off is not a plug in gadget. This is a major disadvantage on two levels.

1.     If your batteries are dead you cannot use it, you will have to replace the batteries.

2.     . The above factor could have been used in combination with making it power plug in as it would have encouraged people to buy rechargeable batteries thus contributing to the reduction of used batteries in land fills.

Casing.

The material (plastic) used for the battery cover is not very aesthetic to the touch. It is also pretty stiff when closing it off.

How long have you used the product?

I have used it for 3 months at the time of writing.

Build quality and value for your money.

The Bobble off is pretty much value for money in terms of what it does. With regards to design, it is not very well thought out, this makes it a little bit tacky though it has proven to be sturdy over the period I have used it.

Other comments

There is nothing more irritating than bobbles on clothes, especially your favourite hat, sweater or gloves. This product has done a pretty decent job, safely. It is worth the price and trouble when it cleans my sweaters well! I would advise buying rechargeable batteries along with a battery charger; this will prove profitable in the long run.

Advice

Avoid dropping the Bobble-off for the above-mentioned reasons on the casing.

When not in use, remove the batteries and store them in a cool dry place, this preserves power and avoids the situation of the batteries leaking and damaging the Bobble –off.

If you have problems with bobbles and you value any particular item of clothing affected, I would recommend you try the Bobble –Off.
